About Our Training Program We accept horses 3 years old and older. The horse must be completely broke. We train horses not break them. Our programs are 30 to 90+ days long depending on the horse .We start with slow work focusing on reining, leg pressure, and the horse's movement. We also like to work on flexing the horse's body so that its turns are smoother and easier. We do a lot of exercises that teach your horse how to position its body for a turn, how to rate a barrel, change leads going from the first barrel to the second and much more. What Else Should I Know? Once we have gotten your horse patterned on the barrels then we will haul it to local barrel races and exhibition (walk, trot, or lope) it on barrels, getting it use to other arenas, other horses, and getting it ready to go for you. Once we feel that your horse is ready for competition then we will take it and exhibition (run) it on barrels just to see how it handles the pressure and to make sure it is ready for you to take and start winning. We also encourage the rider to come as much as possible so we can work with both you and your horse together. We will work one on one with you to help you understand and know your horse better and to help you get the winning edge. We also offer Pole Bending Training. If you would like you horse trained in barrels and poles, add $150/month for pole bending training. Training Fees: $400 per month with you supplying the feed and hay $500 per month with us supplying to feed and hay $150 extra per month to add pole bending training .
